Martin Trevor Heinrich (born October 17, 1971) is the junior United States Senator from New Mexico. He was elected on November 6, 2012, to replace retiring Senator Jeff Bingaman.[1] Prior to his election to the Senate, Heinrich was member of the U.S. House of Representatives from New Mexico's 1st district.
