Post-impressionism was an art movement from 1880 to 1905 in France. Post Impressionism was closely related to Impressionism, but was more substantial and used brighter colors. The philosophy of Post Impressionism was: What we see depends on how and when we see. The great painters of Post-Impressionism were Paul Cézanne, George-Pierre Seurat, Toulouse-Lautrec, Paul Gauguin, and Van Gogh.
