Great Lakes Compact

From Conservapedia

The Great Lakes Compact is an agreement by the neighboring states as to their water usage, beginning on Dec. 8, 2008 when it was approved by Congress as required for interstate compacts. The signatories to this agreement were Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

The Compact bans the diversion of water from the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Basin, except as applied for and approved.[1]
