Shimla is a small village of 270 hectares in Behror Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Shimla depends on BEHROR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 92.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Shimla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Shimla's pin code is 301701[4], and village code is 00770600. The area of Shimla is segregated as 132 hectares irrigated area, 70 hectares unirrigated, the 57.78 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 10 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Shimla has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Shimla is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 870 and has total administration over 149 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Shimla has 128 children, 73 boys and 55 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 176 (20.23%) males constitute 92 (10.57%) of the population and females 84 (9.66%).

The workforce is 239 male, 232 female with 304 (64.54%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 210 males and 94 females. 147 males and 55 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 167 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BEHROR and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
