Idwa is a small village of 3671 hectares in Degana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Idwa depends on Goredi Chancha, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Idwa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Idwa's pin code is 341503[4], and village code is 01856800. The area of Idwa is segregated as 3007 hectares unirrigated, the 525.71 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 138 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Idwa has One post office (Idwa B.O) and Ten public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Idwa has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Idwa is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5665 and has total administration over 1058 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Idwa has 780 children, 415 boys and 365 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1412 (24.92%) males constitute 713 (12.59%) of the population and females 699 (12.34%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 18 (0.32%) males constitute 12 (0.21%) of the population and females 6 (0.11%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2553 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1494 male, 1059 female with 1056 (41.36%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 854 males and 202 females. 256 males and 96 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 102 male and 47 female agricultural labor. 1497 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Goredi Chancha and Nagaur to sell earthen pots and make their living.
