Dhakha is a small village of 215 hectares in Jalalpur Tehsil in Ambedkar Nagar district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhakha depends on Jalalpur (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,Two canals and Two springs. Dhakha is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dhakha's pin code is 224149[4], and village code is 06106800. The area of Dhakha is segregated as 164 hectares irrigated area, 23 hectares unirrigated area. the 8 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 36 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dhakha is a census village in the district of Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1788 and has total administration over 288 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 506 (28.30%) males constitute 257 (14.37%) of the population and females 249 (13.93%).

The workforce is 392 male, 162 female with 243 (43.86%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 202 males and 41 females. 87 males and 25 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 26 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 311 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalalpur (MB) and Ambedkar Nagar to sell basket and make their living.
