Dropbox (Cloud Service)

From Conservapedia

Dropbox is an online cloud storage service that lets users share files between different computers seamlessly. It allows users to maintain synchronized version of their files across numerous devices and platforms, and to share certain files and synchronized folders with others.[1] They support systems running Apple/iOS, Windows, Android, Ubuntu, and Fedora.[2] Their major competitors include OneDrive and Google Drive.[3] The company offers a free tier of service, but it provides very limited space.[4]

Tips & Tricks[edit]

Calculating Folder Size[edit]

With tight space constraints, it can be helpful to determine what folders contain the most data. To calculate Dropbox folder size:

  1. Go to the "All files" overview on the website
  2. Make sure one of the columns says "Size".
For example, if it says "Type"
Click on "Type" and a menu pops up
Choose Show | Size from the pop-up menu
  3. In the right column, choose the ellipsis (...) button and pick "Calculate size" from the pop-up menu.
Note: if none of the displayed columns says "Size" at the top, this won't work!
