Primary: She was defeated in the primary on August 26, 2014, receiving 45.5 percent of the vote. She competed against Phil Matthey.

Colon earned both her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Florida.[3]
Career[edit]
Colon serves as the chair of the grievance committee for the Sixth Circuit. She also serves pro bono as a guardian ad litem for family law.[3]
