iTunes is a digital media player started by Apple Inc. in 2003 and reportedly to be discontinued by Apple in 2019 or soon thereafter. It has served as a medium between users and the iTunes store, where songs are offered for 69¢, 99¢ or $1.29 (often depending on the song's popularity) and movies and television shows are offered at various prices. The music pricing scheme was formerly a universal 99¢ price, but this was changed due to demands from music labels.^[2][3]
