Cetewayo

Cetewayo (1826 - 1884) was the fourth and last Zulu king beginning with the empire that Shaka forged.

Ruling from 1873 to 1879, he declared war on the British and Boer settlers in the Transvaal in 1879 and was defeated and deposed. The area would stay under the control of Europeans until modern South African history.
