Katuhara is a small village of 206.3 hectares in Rasra Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Katuhara depends on Rasra (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Katuhara's pin code is 221717[4], and village code is 09145600. The area of Katuhara is segregated as 335.9 hectares irrigated area, 2.09 hectares unirrigated area. the 2.71 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 13.069 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Katuhara is a census village in the district of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1600 and has total administration over 215 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rasra (MB) and Ballia to sell jaggery and make their living.
