Uraini is a small village of 172.5 hectares in Rasra Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Uraini depends on Rasra (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Uraini's pin code is 221711[4], and village code is 09133500. The area of Uraini is segregated as 138.37 hectares irrigated area, 10.68 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.83 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 22.61 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Uraini has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Uraini is a census village in the district of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1557 and has total administration over 256 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Uraini has 235 children, 115 boys and 120 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 554 (35.58%) males constitute 263 (16.89%) of the population and females 291 (18.69%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 36 (2.31%) males constitute 14 (0.90%) of the population and females 22 (1.41%).

The workforce is 323 male, 263 female with 187 (31.91%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 131 males and 56 females. 64 males and 27 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 7 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 399 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rasra (MB) and Ballia to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
