Werder Bremen is a German soccer team playing in the Bundesliga. The club was founded in 1898 by some high school athletes who won a soccer ball in a competition. Having fallen in love with the game, they systematically formed the club we know today as Bremen.[1] The club is currently managed by Thomas Schaaf and is sponsored by Citibank.[2]
