Early life[edit]

Born in the city of Cork, Republic of Ireland on 13 April 1971, Barrett was adopted at age 5 by a family in Borrisokane, County Tipperary.

Political career[edit]

Barrett was a member of the youth wing of Fine Gael in 1991, which he left because he saw the party as "cynical".

In 2004, Justin Barrett stood for election to the European Parliament for the constituency East. He received 2% of the popular vote.

As part of a 17 November 2016 press release, Barrett announced that would be the leader and president of the newly-created National Party, a party that would promote conservatism and oppose abortion and multiculturalism in Ireland.

On 26 December 2019, Barrett addressed his ban from the liberal-biased social media platform Twitter.[1]

During the CCP pandemic, on 11 October 2020, Justin Barrett addressed a protest against the Irish government's disproportionate, China-style lockdown. He exposed he ludicrousness of closing down a country for a virus with a death rate of around 0.00391%, responded to false accusations of being "far-right" by saying that his party had been "right so far".[2]
