Secure the Texas Border : With the Texas Border being left wide open, it is time to end the crisis at our border and put the safety of Texans first.

A Texan's right to protect life and property is a basic human right. Whether it is protecting the unborn or our Second Amendment rights, Texans should have maximum freedom and less government interference to protect the innocent, their families and property.

Taxes: Taxes put a significant burden on our families, small businesses, farmers and ranchers. The Legislature must find a solution to ease the state enforced finantial burden on Texans.
I believe in the formula of more freedom and less government when considering bills that will benefit Texans and their families.

When a guide is needed, there are none better than the Bible and the U.S. Constitution

Absent sufficient border enforcement by the current administration in Washington, the duty of protecting Texas falls to our state government. Texans understand that a lawless boarder means peril for all of our citizens. It is imperative that the Legislature provide the means to secure the border and protect our state.
First and foremost, would be my father and mother joined by my grandfathers and grandmother and extended family. They were all uniquely people of strong character and distinct faith which provided a special atmosphere for a young man to grow up in. But I grew up in a rural Texas community where the values of duty, public service and integrity were exemplified every day.
I remember watching the space shots and moon landings along with the news from Vietnam. I was about 4 or 5.
My first paying job, outside of the family, was sacking groceries at the local grocery store.
