Gerald Davis was a Republican member of the Maine State Senate. Davis previously served in the Maine House of Representatives from 1998 to 2006.

Davis graduated with his bachelor's degree in history from Yates College and his master's degree in history from the University of Southern Maine.

Davis is a high school history teacher.

Davis lost his bid for re-election to the 11th District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. Richard Woodbury, who defeated Davis, ran for the seat as an Independent. Christopher Miller ran for the seat on the Green ticket. The general election took place on November 2, 2010. Although, Democrat Cynthia Bullens withdrew her candidacy, her name remained on the ballot.[2]

On November 4, 2008, Davis ran for District 11 of the Maine State Senate, beating Jeanne Hulit.[3]
