Rosa Luxemburg

Rosa Luxemburg was a Polish-born Communist who was one of the founders of the German Communist Party. At first Luxemburg was a supporter of the SPD but later she left the party due to its actions in the German Revolution(1918-1919) and founded together with Karl Liebknecht the organization The Internationale and the Communist Party of Germany. Luxemburg supported the October Revolution and dissolution of parliament by Lenin. She was killed in Germany on January 15, 1919 by fascist-militias supported by the SPD. She was also an ethnic Jew.
