Scientific Notation

From Conservapedia

Scientific notation is the mathematical concept of writing out numbers in the form (a times 10 to the power of b). For example, the number 123 in scientific notation would be written as 1.23 * 102. This notation allows one to write large numbers in an efficient form and to easily compare numbers based on exponents.[1]
