Gauhana is a small village of 106.9 hectares in Auraiya Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gauhana depends on Auraiya (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,Two canals and Two springs. Gauhana is also surrounded byTwo lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gauhana's pin code is 206122[4], and village code is 04167600. The area of Gauhana is segregated as 85.54 hectares irrigated area, 0.78 hectares unirrigated area. the 2.96 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 5.19 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gauhana is a census village in the district of Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1572 and has total administration over 267 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 1181 (75.13%) males constitute 650 (41.35%) of the population and females 531 (33.78%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Auraiya (MB) and Auraiya to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
