Amish Communities

Amish communities have thrived in Pennsylvania and the upper-Midwest. Since 2000, new Amish communities have arisen in:

• Colorado
• Nebraska
• New Mexico
• South Dakota
• Vermont
• Wyoming

and in three provinces in Canada:

• Manitoba
• New Brunswick
• Prince Edward Island

The Amish population doubles every 20 years, and since 2000 more than 303 new Amish communities have been established.
