Dighauta is a small village of 116 hectares in Handia Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dighauta depends on KATHARA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dighauta's pin code is 221503[4], and village code is 05570900. The area of Dighauta is segregated as 68 hectares irrigated area, the 38 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 10 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Dighauta has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Dighauta is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1569 and has total administration over 265 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

According to a census 2011 report, 639 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 362 male, 277 female with 336 (52.58%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 244 males and 92 females. 119 males and 35 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 30 male and 15 female agricultural labor. 303 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KATHARA and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
