Village Of Midlothian And City Of Hometown Home Rule Government (February 2010)

Two Village of Midlothian and City of Hometown Home Rule Government propositions were on the February 2 ballot in Cook County for those voters in their respective areas.

The Midlothian measure was approved

  • YES 1,384 (58.37%)Approveda
  • NO 987 (41.63%)

The Hometown City measure was defeated

  • YES 363 (38.25%)
  • NO 586 (61.75%)Defeatedd[1]

The Village of Midlothian measure sought to allow the village to become a home rule unit, giving them the powers that it would entail.

The Hometown City measure sought to also become a home rule unit of government.[2]
