The Diet of Worms was a famous assembly held in 1521 in the town of Worms, in Germany which declared Martin Luther a heretic. Emperor Charles V presided over the diet.[1]
It was believed to have led to the 1526 Diet of Speyer and the 1529 Diet of Speyer (both are also known as Diet of Spires of Speyer I and Speyer II).
