An effort to recall Brian Doernemann, Dan Wiskiesky and Time Meyer from their respective positions on the Dodge School Board was launched in July 2011. The recall was in response to the three men allegedly not listening to a petition that was brought forward to them from Dodge residents. The petition urged the men to consider other consolidation options for Dodge School District and another school district that was set to merge with them. Residents stated that the Dodge School District would be eliminated with no benefits to students in that district if the merge happened.

The men stated that they had chosen the best option for those students available. The recall committee turned in the required amount of signatures, and on September 6, 2011, residents cast their votes to remove all men from their positions, leaving the recall efforts ultimately successful.[1]
