Katy, Texas

From Conservapedia

Katy, Texas is a town in southeast Texas which is a suburb of Houston.

Katy High School (one of several in the large suburb) is one of the state's elite high school programs: it has won eight state championships (tied with Aledo, Celina, and Southlake Carroll for 11-man programs and Richland Springs in six-man football).

Controversy[edit]

Katy, Texas was the subject of a number of news stories in 2006 when a local Muslim group attempted to build a mosque in the town. The local residents strongly objected and were subject to intimidation from the local Muslims. In response, the owner of a neighboring property began holding weekly pig races on Friday.[1]
