Christianity in Egypt is the second largest religion after Islam. The majority of Christians in Egypt are Coptic Christians. [1]

Christianity in Egypt began when the Patriarchate of Alexandria was founded by St. Mark the Evangelist, disciple of Saint Peter the Apostle.
