Syndrome

A syndrome is the group or recognizable pattern of symptoms or abnormalities that indicate a particular trait or disease.

The term has come to be used in social studies as well, when discussing the way people behave with recognizable patterns. The "Hollywood Syndrome" could be used to define the situation with Hollywood values as an example.
