Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation, based in Phnom Penh, is a Cambodian multidisciplinary conglomerate and holding company with investments in various industries in the country including property development, real estate, education, healthcare, airport concession, distribution, construction & engineering, retail, hospitality, media, leisure & agriculture.
The Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation Ltd. was established as a general trading company operating out of Phnom Penh in 2000. Since its inception and originally starting as a real estate company before venturing into other businesses, OCIC is said to have invested approximately US$5 billion dollars into the construction sector of Cambodia over the last two decades with infrastructure projects like Koh Pich, Chroy Changvar Satellite City, Koh Norea and, most recently, the Techo International Airport.[1]
In 2018, The Cambodia Airport Investment Co, Ltd. (CAIC), a joint venture between OCIC and the Royal Government of Cambodia was granted a concession to develop the new Techo Takhmao International Airport in the province of Kandal.[2] In May 2023, OCIC and Singapore-based SIA Engineering Company, signed a joint venture agreement to develop Cambodia's first dedicated MRO facility.[3] In September 2023, OCIC and Thailand's Big C formalized an agreement to establish the first hypermarket chain in Phnom Penh's Chroy Changvar district.[4]
