The Small Business Administration (SBA) is a federal agency which provides assistance of all kinds, including loans at interest rates less than the market rate, to small businesses.

The goal of the SBA is to foster and promote small business, but critics doubt that government can do better than the free market in promoting business and question whether it really helps those in need.[1]
