RATTASAR is a small village of 3146 hectares in Suratgarh Tehsil in Ganganagar district, established by Maharaja Ganga Singh and known as one of the first well-planned modern cities of India, and is greatly influenced by the town planning of Paris in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. RATTASAR depends on SURATGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. RATTASAR is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. RATTASAR's pin code is 335805[4], and village code is 00301100. The area of RATTASAR is segregated as 3037 hectares unirrigated, remaining 109.38 hectare area not available for cultivation.
