A Colfax School District Levy Replacement measure was on the February 14, 2012 ballot in the Colfax school district area which is in Whitman County.
This measure was approved
This measure sought to replace the current school levy which is set to expire with one set at a rate of $3.68 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further two years in order to continue to pay for general fund education maintenance and operational costs in the district.[2]
The question on the ballot:
| Shall the following taxes, for the purpose of maintenance and operation of the Colfax School District No. 300, be levied upon all taxable property within the District in excess of all regular property tax levies?: Levy Year: 2013-2014; Collection Rate/$1,000 Assessed Value: $3.68, $3.84; Approximate Levy Amount: $1,250,000, $1,200,000. Should this proposition be approved?[3] |
