Smurfs

The Smurfs was a comic strip, beginning in 1958, and later a cartoon series, beginning in 1981, depicting the life of a community of dwarf-like people with blue skin. Each of the Smurfs often has a skill or trait unique to himself (there are only three females in the entire community who exist more for plot purposes) which assists the Smurfs in some way. For example, there is Brainy Smurf (the cleverest of the lot) and Papa Smurf (who looks after all the younger members).
