Louis VIII, also known as the Lion (September 5, 1187 - November 8, 1226) was both King of England from 1216 until 1217 and King of France from 1223 until 1226, he conquered England when the barons rebelled against King John for having unpopular policies, in 1217 he signed the Treaty of Lambeth (1217) and was payed 10,000 marks for him to agree he was not the legitimate King of England, he returned to France and 6 years later became King of France.
