Americans For Democratic Action

Americans for Democratic Action is a liberal lobbying organization that rates politicians based on their voting records. It was founded in 1947. Eleanor Roosevelt was named its honorary chair in 1953, while Senator Joseph McCarthy was investigating it for Communist influence.
