Interpellation

Interpellation (from Latin interpellat- 'interrupted [by speech]') is in original meaning an interruption of the day order in a parliament by demanding an explanation from a government official such as, for example, the minister, of his action.

Another sense, in philosophy, was coined by French Marxist philosopher Louis Althusser, who used this word as a term describing the process by which ideology addresses an individual.^[1][2]
