The Maryland Qualifications for Associate Judges Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 3, 1942 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided for residential qualifications as well as a method of selection for Associate Judges of the Third Judicial Circuit.[1][2]
