Cardozo

Cardozo:

American Sephardic family, doubtless connected with the Cardozos of Amsterdam and London, though the connection has not been made out. They trace back to Aaron Cardozo, a London merchant who went to New York about 1752.Among his descendants have been several eminent citizens of Charleston, S. C., and a judge of New York state of some eminence. The sketch pedigree below (omitting branches that have died or married out of the faith) gives the chief branches of the family:
