The Turkic languages are a language family of Asia and Europe. They are often considered as a branch of the Altaic languages. Some of them are state languages such as Turkish, Azeri, Uzbek, Kazakh, Turkmen and Kyrgyz. The others are minority languages such as Gagauz, Chuvash, Crimean Tatar, Volga Tatar, Bashkir, Qashqay, Uighur, Kumyk, Karachay-Balkar, Altay, Tuvan, Khakas, Nogay and Karakalpak.
