Jatawn is a small village of 29.63 hectares in Sagri Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jatawn depends on Jiyanpur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jatawn's pin code is 276406[4], and village code is 08635000. The area of Jatawn is segregated as 17.852 hectares irrigated area, 1.114 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 9.799 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jatawn is a census village in the district of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 439 and has total administration over 64 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jiyanpur (NP) and Azamgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
