Hms Prince Of Wales

From Conservapedia

HMS Prince of Wales was a British World War II battleship, but was the 7th warship to be named for the heir to the British throne, the Prince of Wales. This Prince of Wales had a brief career, helping to stop the German battleship Bismarck in the Battle of the Denmark Strait. In August 1941 she carried Winston Churchill to the Newfoundland where he met the US President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, to discuss the strategy of the war. In the lead up to the declaration of war with Japan, she was sent to Singapore in the Pacific Theatre, where on December 8, 1941, while on a mission to intercept Japanese amphibious forces, she was sunk by Japanese land-based bombers, along with the battlecruiser HMS Repulse.[1]

It is speculated that one of the two new British Aircraft Carriers will be called the Prince of Wales.
