The Proceso de Reorganizacion Nacional describes the military dictatorship that controlled Argentina from March 24, 1976 to December 10, 1983.
At 3:10 am on March 24, 1976, General José Rogelio Villarreal initiated the coup by ousting President Isabel Martínez de Perón. On December 10, 1983, social democrat Raúl Alfonsín took office, ending the period.
