Surajpur is a small village of 634.9 hectares in Nawabganj Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Surajpur depends on Siddhaur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,One canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Surajpur's pin code is 225412[4], and village code is 05824100. The area of Surajpur is segregated as 374 hectares irrigated area, 173 hectares unirrigated area. the 49 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 87 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Surajpur has One post office (Baghaura B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Surajpur has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Surajpur is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 5620 and has total administration over 1071 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

According to a census 2011 report, 2071 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1467 male, 604 female with 1041 (50.27%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 746 males and 295 females. 337 males and 134 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 165 male and 110 female agricultural labor. 1030 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Siddhaur (NP) and Barabanki to sell menthol and make their living.
