Robbery is the felonious taking of another's property, from his or her person or immediate presence and against his or her will, by means of force or fear. (See larceny.)

The United States definition[1] of robbery is the completed or attempted theft, directly from a person, of property or cash by force or threat of force, with or without a weapon, and with or without injury.
