Polaris Intelligence

From Handwiki

Polaris Intelligence is a Canadian online application designed to provide market insights to answer data and analytics questions. The company’s online research solutions connect businesses with strategic consumer data, spatial intelligence, and analytical insights. Functionalities include GIS-like mapping (thematic maps, heat maps, trade area maps, POI maps), reporting (with demographics, consumer behaviour information), and advanced analytics from gravity models, to feature selection models, data mining, and predictive analytics with targeting models[1].

The combination of geo-demographics and mapping means Polaris can be used to do things like find concentrations of vulnerable populations[2].

Polaris Intelligence is used by a variety of companies, including CPG companies, luxury brands, municipalities, media agencies, real estate firms, educational institutions, and other small businesses[3]. Polaris is also used as an educational tool at universities and colleges to teach marketing students about trade areas, location intelligence, consumer segmentation, and customer profiling [4][1]. Based on the client’s specific data needs, there are a variety of tools for users to analyze and visualize public data, license clean granular data, as well as their own uploaded data.

Polaris Intelligence has been used by many firms to provide consulting services for municipalities.

Polaris Intelligence is a partner of Vividata and Numeris, with their survey responses modelled down to the 6-digit postal code level, i.e. all across Canada and in markets not covered by their surveys[5][6]. They work with Vivintel on specialized surveys like Consumer Cannabis Surveys[7].
