A SODIMM DDR3 SD-RAM chip

SODIMM (or SO-DIMM, short for "small outline dual in-line memory module") is a type of temporary (RAM) memory module for computers, which has the relatively small form factor of only about 67MM in length (260-pin SODIMM chips are slightly longer, measuring 69.6MM). Conversely, DIMM chips are almost twice as long, measuring in at 133MM. SODIMM is therefore used in smaller devices such as laptop computers and tablets.[1][2]
