Sunan International Airport

Sunan International Airport is the main airport in Pyongyang, North Korea, located 15 km from the city center. Its IATA airport code is FNJ, and its ICAO airport code is ZKPY.

It has 2 runways, the first (01/19) is 4,037m with 60m width, it is mainly used for international flight; and the second (17/35) is 3,500m with 70m width. Runway elevation is 31m, International Airport Fee is 10 euro, in some cases, US$11 or 100 Chinese Renminbi are accepted too. Operation Hour is GMT 21:00 to 13:00 in Summer; GMT 22:00 to 12:00 in Winter.

The airport is the main base of Air Koryo (JS); In 2003 and 2004, Aeroflot (SU) no longer had an service to the airport; China Southern Airlines(CZ) offers flights to and from Shenyang(SHE) in Liaoling in travel peak season only; and Mandarin Airlines (AE) and Far East Airlines (EF) offer travel group tour chartered flight between Taipei (TPE), Taiwan province and Pyongyang (FNJ) during summer (June to August). Korean Airways (KE) and Asiana Airlines (OZ) provide chartered flight service to Incheon (ICN), Yangyang (YNY) from Pyongyang (FNJ) in single direction, and the return path is operated by Air Koryo (JS). A new international airport is being build near Hamhung city or Chongjin city, North Hamgyong province in 2003, may be it is a new air transport hub in far east in the near future.

Baggage Storage Facility : Service Hour : 8:00 to 21:00; Charge : 1.5 Korean Won (KPW) per piece

Restaurant, Bar and Korea Foreign Trade Bank : Service Hour : 9:00 to 18:00
