The American Democracy Project is an organization established by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. Its publicly stated aims are "to create a greater intellectual understanding and commitment to participate in the civic life of the United States" among young college students. However, its activities have relied exclusively on left-of-center sources of information and ideas to promote its version of "civic engagement."
The ADP struck a deal with the left-leaning publication the New York Times, which paved the way for over 200 college campuses around the U.S. to become inundated with liberal indoctrination without cost to the universities. Conceivably, students buy into the appearance of neutrality and are passively conditioned to view the world from a leftist perspective, reinforcing whatever indoctrination they might ordinarily receive from their professors.
At present there is no indication the ADP has attempted to establish similar collaborative initiatives with known conservative publications.
