Summer

From Conservapedia

Summer is one of the four seasons, coming after Spring and before Autumn or Fall. This season occurs between the June solstice and the September equinox in the northern hemisphere, while it occurs between the December solstice and the March equinox in the southern hemisphere.

Temperatures are at their highest during summer, making this season the hottest of the year; some of its hottest days are referred to as "the dog days of summer". It is a time to swim in swimming pools or go to the beach in warmer areas. Along the USA's Gulf Coast, hurricanes occurs when they roll in from the Atlantic Ocean and the African coast. The United States Independence Day is celebrated during the summer.
