Chack Thakuram is a small village of 62 hectares in Soraon Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chack Thakuram depends on Fafamau, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Chack Thakuram's pin code is 229411[4], and village code is 05420000. The area of Chack Thakuram is segregated as 12.4 hectares irrigated area, 8.4 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 1.6 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Fafamau and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
