Madra is a small village of 76.08 hectares in Phulpur Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Madra depends on Bharia, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Madra's pin code is 212404[4], and village code is 05429400. The area of Madra is segregated as 19.43 hectares irrigated area, 29.54 hectares unirrigated area. the 12.81 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 9.3 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Madra has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Madra is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 378 and has total administration over 60 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 102 (26.98%) males constitute 39 (10.32%) of the population and females 63 (16.67%).

The workforce is 78 male, 96 female with 72 (41.38%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 53 males and 19 females. 28 males and 8 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 19 male and 9 female agricultural labor. 102 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bharia and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
